As Tarpon were making their annual migration to
the Gulf shore, the 2nd Annual Raymond James Corporate & Executive
Services Tarpon Tournament was held in Boca Grande June 8—10. There
were many new attendees this year as representatives from Chesapeake
Energy, Marine Max and St Joe were eager to strip the title of
Tarpon Champ from defending champion, Pam Kline of SBA
Communications.

teams continued to fish!! The girls boat would not be as lucky this
year, catching nothing but the bottom as they ran aground at the end
of the day while trying to get back to the docks!
Friday night was the “get to know you”
dinner. During this meal the fining committee was picked and the
“rules” of the tournament were explained. Fines were imposed for not
fishing, losing a fish, catching the bottom, being sea sick or just
plain “whatever”. Fines collected in the 2nd Annual tournament
exceeded fines collected last year raising the winning pot to the
highest yet...
